'Earliest Known Tom Brady Worn Relic' From Rookie Days Up For Auction
The style of the blue Adidas size XL shorts apparently dates back to May 2000—just one month after Brady was drafted by the Patriots.

BOSTON, MA — A pair of shorts worn in 2000 by New England Patriots then-rookie Tom Brady is up for auction online.
The blue Adidas size XL shorts have an embroidered Adidas logo on the right leg next to a white heat-pressed number 12, with an embroidered Patriots logo on the left leg, according to the item's description on the Lelands Summer Classic Auction. There is an NFL shield Patch on the back middle near the waistband, the auction said.
Citing Getty Images, the auction said the style of the shorts dates back to May 2000—just one month after Brady was drafted by the Patriots. The team wore a different style beginning the following season.

The shorts "stand as the earliest known pro-football-used item of Tom Brady," Lelands Summer Classic Auction wrote."As difficult as it is to agree on a decisive GOAT in other sports, Brady's inconceivable litany of records and accomplishments leaves little room for argument in the sport of football."

News broke in early 2022 that Brady was retiring as the most decorated winner in the history of the NFL. He officially retired in early 2023 at age 45.
Brady won a record 7 Super Bowls over his 22-year career with the New England Patriots and Tampa Bay Buccaneers and is the all-time leader in nearly every major passing category, winning three NFL MVPs and five Super Bowl MVPs.
No one has ever won more games at any position than Brady.
