Get Your First Look At Puma's New North American HQ In Somerville
The global sports brand has opened the 150,000-square-foot facility, which will be home to 450 employees previously in Boston and Westford.

SOMERVILLE, MA —The global sports brand Puma announced Thursday that it had officially opened its new North American headquarters at Assembly Row in Somerville.
The facility, which offers 150,000 square feet of office space, will be home to the 450 employees who previously worked at the company's former offices in Boston and Westford.
Puma announced in Jan. of 2019 that it was moving to Somerville's Assembly Row. A month later, ground was broken on the new facility.

Puma executives said the spacious North American headquarters, located at 455 Grand Union Blvd., will give the company room to grow its business and help attract the best talent.
"To support Puma's continued growth, fueled in large part by the North American market, we focused on creating a space that reflects our 'Forever Faster' mentality," said Bob Philion, president of Puma North America. "We put creativity and innovation at the forefront, bringing together our entire North American team to collaborate and propel our brand forward.

"I'm thrilled to celebrate this exciting next chapter of Puma's history as one collective team and look forward to continued success for the company here in Somerville and around the globe."
According to the Puma, the building was designed by Gensler, a global architecture, design and planning firm, and built by Timberline Construction, a leading New England construction management firm.
The facility features a 19,000-square-foot roof deck, complete with dining area and art installations. The new site also has a state-of-the-art fitness center, an on-site kids room for children visiting the office, bike storage and a 2,3000-square-foot balcony.
The office's proximity to Assembly Row's dining and shopping also is seen as a selling point to prospective employees.
"Operating in a product-driven industry, it's crucial we bring together the best possible team of creative thinkers in a space that fosters diversity of thought and innovation — Puma's new North American headquarters does just that," said Adam Petrick, global director of brand and marketing at Puma.
Petrick continued: "Being more deeply ingrained in such an important footwear design ecosystem provides a competitive advantage, bringing out the best in our current team, while allowing us to recruit new talent to support our continued growth."
Puma said its employees continue to return to the office after many worked remote during COVID-19 pandemic. The company said it follows all CDC, state and local guidelines at its facilities.
