International Fugitive Returned To Boston Over 2014 Shooting
Diriye Bile, 26, was arrested in Chicago after fleeing the U.S. after a Roxbury shooting.

BOSTON, MA — A local man who fled the U.S. after a 2014 shooting in Roxbury was arrested this week in Chicago, according to police.
Diriye Bile, 26, fled to Ethiopia following the June 2014 Ruggles Street shooting near Nubian Square. He remained abroad until he flew to Chicago this week, Boston police said. He was arrested by the Great Lakes Regional Fugitive Task Force.
Bile appeared at Suffolk Superior Court Wednesday for an arraignment on charges of armed assault with intent to murder, assault and battery with a dangerous weapon, assault and battery with serious bodily harm and state gun law charges.

The victim suffered non-life threatening injures in the shooting, police had previously reported.
