Another round of hit-or-miss "pop-up" storms could interrupt things today, the NWS said.

Hope you're having a great start to your Fourth of July! We are just popping in quick to let you know another round of hit-or-miss showers and thunderstorms are expected in Massachusetts today. The forecasts aren't very detailed, so stay alert when heading outside.

The National Weather Service said isolated thunderstorms, heavy rainfall, and isolated strong gusty winds could pop up throughout Wednesday afternoon and evening. There isn't much word on when or where these storms could show up, but the NWS said south of Boston - Bristol, Norfolk, and Plymouth counties - appear to have highest risk of thunderstorms.

Weather.com says there is a 15 percent chance of rain through about 5 p.m., when the odds drop to about 5 percent.
