From Malibu To MA: Barbie-Inspired Cafe Coming To Boston

BOSTON, MA — Barbie fans can get excited, because a West Coast experience will soon make its way to the Bay State.

The Malibu Barbie Cafe is expected to open on April 17 near the Faneuil Hall Marketplace in Boston. The pop-up at 101 S. Market St. will offer the 1970s beachside Malibu experience, including a casual menu with desserts and drinks.

This will be the Malibu Barbie Cafe's tenth location, with others in New York, Chicago, and Miami, spearheaded by media experiences brand Bucket Listers and Mattel, Inc.

“We are delighted to announce the opening of Malibu Barbie Café in Boston, bringing a truly unique experience that celebrates the Barbie brand and all she represents to the city,” said Julie Freeland, Vice President of Global Location-Based Entertainment at Mattel.

The eatery's menu was created by MasterChef finalist and Chopped Champion Chef Becky Brown. Guests can participate in interactive activities and purchase exclusive merchandise at the pop-up.

Restaurant tickets for $25 each will be available here. That includes food and merchandise credit.
