Man In Brighton Threatened To Shoot Police
A SWAT team was called to Vineland Street in Brighton, where a man barricaded himself in a home.

BRIGHTON, MA — A man is in custody after barricading himself into a home on Vineland Street, Boston Police confirmed.
The man threatened to shoot responding police officers, according to early scanner reports. Three SWAT units established a perimeter and brought in police dogs around the house sometime around 11 a.m. Boston Police said the man has several guns registered in his name.
Eventually, after refusing to talk to police the man opened the door and police were able to take him into custody without any injuries, Police told Patch.

The original 911 call came in as an argument between a man and a woman. The woman left the home and the man locked himself in and when police got there he wouldn't speak to police, so police changed the call to a man barricaded.
An hour afterward, the only sign of the earlier event were street were marked cruisers parked on the street. Several neighbors told Patch they'd never seen SWAT and so many officers on their street.
