With description of the suspect in hand, police said they kept an eye out until they were called to the corner of Washington and School streets to help Transit Police officers with a man that fit the earlier robber suspect's description.

Shortly after 11 p.m., police officers arrested Kenneth M. Chase, 49, of Hyannis and charged him with Armed Bank Robbery. Chase was arraigned in Boston Municipal Court, where although prosecutors asked he be held on $10,000 bail, and that that he stay away from the bank and get a GPS monitoring device, the bail was lower, Suffolk District Attorney Conley’s office said.
