Massachusetts Christmas Weather Forecast: Rain to End Tonight, Clear and Mild Sunday
We won't get our cold, snowy Christmas, but at least it'll be dry after a day of steady rain.

The weather will dry up before Santa takes flight tonight, but the precipitation will be steady until then.
Steady rain is on tap until the late afternoon/early evening. That rain may turn into snow west of Worcester into the Berkshires, but other than that temperatures will be stay above freezing in the high 30s.
The bulk of the rain is expected to stop around 3-5 p.m., according to NECN meteorologist Aaron Perry. Any lingering precipitation will be pushed out by high pressure coming in from the southeast tonight. Tonight's lows will get into the high 20s and low 30s.

Christmas Day will be sunny with relatively comfortable conditions. Temperatures are expected to top out as high as the mid 40s in areas across Massachusetts, but they will drop as low as the high teens at night.
And looking well ahead, preliminary forecasts have New Year's Eve being chilly and clear, but we could see snow showers on the first of the year.
