Plane's Cargo Hold Investigated After Reporting Issue Upon Landing At Logan

The investigation discovered that the alarm was caused by an electrical issue.

BOSTON, MA — A reported issue in the cargo hold of a plane that landed at Logan Airport Tuesday morning prompted an emergency response, according to the Massachusetts Port Authority.

An Embraer E175LR American Eagle jet operated by Republic Airways landed in Boston at approximately 11:30 a.m. after flying in from the John F. Kennedy International Airport in New York. After the passengers got off the plane, Massport investigated the situation.

"The plane is now at the gate, and all the passengers are off the plane with no injuries," Massport Media Relations Specialist Ben Crawley told Patch. "Massport Fire investigated and found no issues."

Republic Airways’ maintenance office said that an electrical issue caused a problem with the aircraft’s fire extinguisher indicator, according to a report from Boston 25 News.
