BOSTON, MA — Boston police have confirmed that the remains of four infants were recovered from a South Boston apartment building earlier this month.

Police first responded to the East Broadway home on Nov. 17 and later reported the discovery of either human remains or a fetus. Police found more remains the following day.

Following autopsies, police on Monday said the remains belonged to two infant males and two infant females — but did not release any other findings from the examinations.
