Urban Nutcracker returns for 17th year in Boston
Urban Nutcracker returns for 17th year with a diverse and inclusive holiday production

Tony Williams Dance Center is presenting their 17th year of Boston holiday classic, Anthony Williams' Urban Nutcracker on December 15-28 at John Hancock Hall in Boston. There will be a special sensory-friendly performance on Wednesday, December 27.
In 2002, Williams re-imagined the classic Nutcracker tale into a Boston inner-city holiday story. Each year, 150 performers take the stage to showcase a broad diversity of dance forms including classical ballet, tap, hip-hip, jazz, flamenco, and more.
Audience members can expect to experience the magical journey of heroine Clarice and her Nutcracker as they explore iconic Boston scenes such as Make Way For Ducklings, Top of the Hub, Chinatown, the Fenway Park scoreboard, the Citgo sign among others.

"I am so pleased to be presenting the Urban Nutcracker for the 17th year,” said producer Tony Williams. “It is very rewarding to have the Urban Nutcracker be accepted by the Greater Boston community and be known as an enduring holiday classic."
"Our production draws in so many Boston influences and backdrops, it is really a show I created to honor Boston and our history,” Williams said.
