Window Washer Dies In Fall From Boston's JFK Library: Police

​The accident happened shortly after 10:30 a.m. Wednesday as the man was working inside the library​, reports said.

BOSTON, MA — A man is dead after he fell while washing windows Wednesday inside the John F. Kennedy Presidential Library in Boston, according to police.

The incident happened shortly after 10:30 a.m. as the man was working inside the library, Boston police confirmed to Patch. He fell from a height of between five and seven stories, police told the Boston Globe.

The man was pronounced dead at the scene. Officials did not release his name.

In a report, Boston police called the incident a "tragic accident."

The incident is under investigation by the Occupational Safety and Health Administration.

The library, designed by I.M. Pei, includes a 115-foot-high memorial pavilion. With the exception of an enormous American flag, the space is empty "to allow the viewer to contemplate what he has seen and experienced against a great panorama of sky, land and open sea," according to the library's website.
