Winthrop Woman Hurled Slurs While Vandalizing Neighbor's Car: DA
The 53-year-old was arraigned on multiple charges after the weekend incident.
BOSTON, MA — A Winthrop woman was arraigned Monday on malicious destruction of property and violating civil rights, according to Suffolk County District Attorney Kevin Hayden's office.
Police arrested Angela Foley, 53, after a Saturday incident where Foley shouted racist slurs at her neighbor and placed nails glued to paint stirrers under the tires of the neighbor's car. She was charged with violating a person’s civil rights, malicious destruction of property over $1,200 and malicious destruction of property under $1,200, according to prosecutors.
One of the victims told WCVB that Foley had been harassing them for a long time, culminating in Saturday's arrest.

Foley was released after pleading not guilty to the charges in court Monday. She was also ordered to stay at least 20 yards from the neighbors involved in Saturday's incident.
