Woman Brought Gun To Logan Airport, Claimed To Be Boston Police Officer: TSA
The woman was stopped at a Boston Logan International Airport security checkpoint Wednesday morning, authorities said.

BOSTON, MA — A woman claiming to be a Boston police officer was stopped at a security checkpoint at Logan International Airport on Wednesday after a loaded gun was discovered in her carry-on bag, according to authorities.
The incident happened Wednesday morning, according to a Transportation Security Administration news release. During a security screening, TSA personnel detected the gun and notified Massachusetts State Police.
When police arrived, they found a loaded gun a round chambered. When questioned by authorities, the woman claimed she was a Boston police officer and forgot the firearm was in her bag.

State police eventually confiscated the gun and issued the woman a court summons.
So far this year, 26 firearms have been detected at Boston Logan security checkpoints, six more than the previous record of 20 in 2018.
