2 Braintree Graduates Get Scholarships From South Shore Plaza

The South Shore Plaza awarded scholarships to graduates of Braintree High School and Archbishop Williams High School.

BRAINTREE, MA — Simon, the Company that owns the South Shore Plaza, awarded scholarships to two high school graduates from Braintree. The scholarships are part of the company's "Simon Youth Foundation," its nonprofit arm that works increase educational opportunities for students.

The South Shore plaza gave scholarships to Owen Kelly and Karen Huang. Kelly was awarded a $750 scholarship. He graduated Archbishop Williams High School and plans to study biomedical engineering at Boston University this fall.

Kelly received a $1,500 scholarship. Huang graduated from Braintree High School and will study biochemistry at the University of Massachusetts Amherst.
