2 People Struck by Vehicle in Braintree Stop & Shop Parking Lot

Several cars and two people were hit during the incident.

Two people were hit by a vehicle Friday afternoon in the parking lot of Stop & Shop on Grove Street.

Up to six cars were hit during the accident, which saw a 93-year-old driver lose control of her car.

Dan Parma, the grandson driver, told CBS Boston that a woman on her cell phone struck their car after cutting in between parked cars, possibly jostling his grandmother.

Afterwards, the elderly driver struck several more cars before hitting two pedestrians.

Braintree Fire told NECN that the injuries do not appear to be serious, but both people received a medical transport to a local hospital.

Police cleared the scene by 4 p.m.
