Allen Dental Wins Best Dentist in This Week's Braintree Patch Contest

Allen Dental Associates took first in our Best Braintree Dentists contest this week, followed by Gentle Dental.

Braintree's at 382 Grove St. took first place in our contest this week, garnering nearly half of the 225 votes cast.

The winner was selected based on a combination of the poll, comments and reviews. The poll results for the top picks were as follows: Allen Dental – 47%; – 24%; Other – 5%; and , Dr. and at 3% each.

Several Patch users posted positively about Allen Dental this week, such as Julianne Burnham, who wrote: "Dr. Craig is truly the best dentist I have ever been to. The office is pleasant the staff fantastic and everyone cares! Dr. Craig takes the time to talk WITH you and lets you know what is going on. He even has a great personality."

Allen Dental Associates is the practice of Craig M. Allen, D.M.D. and Lauren Handwerk, D.M.D. The practice offers preventative, restorative and cosmetic dentistry services for adults and children. Periodontal and surgical treatments are available, as are crowns, dentures, whitening and veneers.

The practice was started in 1929 by Dr. Allen's grandfather. Both Dr. Allen and Dr. Handwerk are Braintree natives. Dr. Allen earned his D.M.D. from Boston University in 1995, and Dr. Handwerk earned her D.M.D. from Tufts University in 2003.

Next week, starting bright and early Monday morning, vote in our Readers' Choice Best Place to Celebrate St. Patrick's Day contest. The poll opens at 6 a.m. Monday and closes next Friday, March 9 at 9 a.m.
