Armed Robbery In Plainville Gets Braintree Man 8 to 10 Years

DEDHAM, MA — A Braintree man was sentenced eight to 10 years in prison after being found guilty of robbing a Plainville Mobil station in 2017.

Paul Curtis, who was 32 when the robbery occurred, pleaded guilty in Dedham Superior Court. On Sept. 26, 2017, Curtis held-up the gas station on Taunton Street. He jabbed a store employee in the stomach with his gun before stealing $600 cash, police told the Sun Chronicle. Curtis was arrested a day later at the Knights Inn in North Attleboro.

Curtis, along with Michelle Shaughnessy, of Tiverton, Rhode Island, are also charged with robbing a Honey Dew Donuts and another robbery that same day. Shaughnessy was also sentenced two-and-a-half years after pleading guilty for armed robbery last month.
