“Do you do psychic readings?  Read tarot cards?  Read palms?”  These are questions I get all the time and my answers are no, no, and no.  Many people do, and some are very gifted, but I’m all about the planets.  Having said that, please don’t ask me when Neptune was discovered, and don’t ask me when you can see Venus in the night sky from your backyard.  History and astronomy are not my thing.  I practice and teach psychological and spiritual astrology.  I’m dedicated to helping people realize why they’re here and what their lives are all about so they can use that knowledge to fulfill their potential.  Astrology is a foreign language.  The Universe, with all its cleverness, wisdom, and compassion, made up this language for us to read, using the planets as the alphabet.  It’s the language of who you are.  If you gave me a book written in Chinese, I couldn’t read a word of it.  Put a birthchart in front of me, and I’m reading a story.  The planets in the sky – what astrological sign they are in, where they are in relationship to you, and to each other – they tell a story.  Your story.  Life can get so busy that we become entrenched in the details and can’t see the big picture of our lives.  The Universe knows how busy you are, so it paints the big picture of your life for you using your birthchart.

What is your birthchart?  It looks like a big pizza pie with a lot of funny symbols on it, but it’s actually the language of who joined the world at the moment of your birth.  Your mom was yelling in pain, and your dad was nervous and the doctor was getting ready to catch you – and there you were.  What happened at that moment is that we took a picture of the sky.  It’s like the sky froze right over you in the hospital.  That picture shows where the Sun and Moon were and what astrological signs they were in.  It shows where Venus was in relationship to Mars, Saturn to Neptune, Mercury to Jupiter.  It shows everything about the sky at that particular moment from your viewpoint.  Why do we need to know what the sky looked like when you were born?  Because it tells us exactly who are.  This is the language of astrology.  It holds up a mirror that reflects everything about you.  Every part of your life is represented in your birthchart – your career, finances, possessions, marriage, family, friends, health, personality, even your Soul and your past life.  It’s all there.  The moment you were born – THAT MOMENT IS YOU.  You are that moment personified - walking around, breathing, talking, living your life.  Consequently, the more we learn about that moment, the more we analyze that moment in time, read it, pick it apart, find out everything it is saying - the more we learn about WHO YOU ARE. 

 You may be thinking, “Why do I need to learn about myself?  I live my life every day.  Who knows me better than I do?”  Well, believe it or not, The Universe knows you better.  My clients often stare in wonder at their birthchart and say “This is so freaky! This is so ME!”  But you wouldn’t say that it’s freaky for a mirror to reflect your image.  The birthchart is a mirror that The Universe holds up to say “Take a moment to really see yourself.”  Knowledge is power.  Self-knowledge is precious.  The more you know about yourself, the more equipped you will be to make better choices and live a rewarding life, fulfilling your highest potential.   Astrology is the Universe’s gift to us.  The birthchart is a map, a guide to help you make better choices.  It’s the most important message you’ll ever get.  Would you let a gift just sit around your house unopened?  If you were lost, wouldn’t you use your GPS?  Would you watch the voicemail light blinking on your phone and not pick it up?  The Universe is trying to get in touch with you.  Listen to the message, open the gift.  Astrology is the GPS leading you to your destination.  Astrology is a revelation.  It tells you what you’ve been through in the past, what is going on in your life now, and what is coming up for you in the future.  It tells you all about your strengths and weaknesses.  If you’re confused, it will bring clarity.  If you’re stuck, it tells you how to move forward.  Most importantly – astrology is a validation.  It’s The Universe saying,   “I see you.  I know who you are.”  You’re not lost in the crowd.  You’re important, and there’s a plan.  Just for you.
