An Astrologer's View on LIFE
Through my years of living, learning, and counseling people through astrology - I've come to a few conclusions about this thing called LIFE.

"Dearly Beloved - We are gathered here today to get through this thing called LIFE" - Prince
Life is hard. I’ve said that to my astrology clients countless times over the years. Never once did I get an argument. It’s not easy being human, living in the physical world. Sure we have good times. We have love. We have laughter. We have good relationships, good food, good friends, good sex. These things make the tough times bearable. But make no mistake – this life is all about the tough times. We don’t really learn anything from happiness. It’s gravy. It’s a blessing. It’s fun and enjoyable. It makes the tough times worth it. It’s fleeting and we’re always chasing it, wishing it would stay. We buy things, hoping happiness will come with them. We take a drink or take a pill. But it’s pointless to focus only on happiness, because it’s not the reason we’re here. The big lessons we learn come to us through the challenges, the struggles, and the hardships. Life is a school and we are constantly being tested. We might as well buckle down and figure out what those lessons are because, face it, if you sleep through class, you’ll fail the test. Imagine if I handed you a test on astrology today. You’d say “Hey, wait a minute! Don’t I get a chance to study? I don’t know a thing that’s on this test!” Astrology tells you what is on your specific life test, what lessons you are here to learn. This is why I’ve made it my mission to spread the word. Astrology is the Cliffs Notes on your life!
Though I'm not Catholic myself, I had many Catholic friends growing up who I went to church with often, and I married into a Catholic family. I’ve read books on Jesus, and I’m certainly no expert, but I’ve come to a conclusion about him. He’s one of the most perfect symbols for this life. I used to look at him in church, suffering up on the cross, and I thought it was all a bit morbid. But now that I have lived for a while, now that I’ve spent years counselling people & seeing how their lives play out, I get the message loud and clear. Jesus was the epitome of compassion and unconditional love. If you struck his cheek, he’d offer you the other one. Take away his tunic, he’d offer you his cloak too. He helped the most unfortunate in society, and forgave everyone who wronged him. Pretty much a perfect guy. And what happened to him? Was he rewarded in this life for his goodness, his kindness, his perfection? No, he ended up betrayed, persecuted, and in a whole lot of pain. As I said, the perfect symbol for Life on Earth. You can do everything right, you can be the best person you can be, and you still end up with a world of pain. Why? Because life is about learning, and pain is how we learn. However, I don’t mean to be a total downer. I think Jesus would agree that it doesn’t have to be all bad. We do have things happen to us, things we can’t control, but we also have choice. We can make it easier on ourselves. It doesn’t have to hurt so much.

The Universe gives you two important things: Fate and Free Will. Your Fate is what you can’t control. It’s what happens to you. For example, your parents are your Fate. On the day of your birth, you can’t take a look at Mom and Dad and say “Sorry, guys, but I don’t think this is going to work. Can you find some different parents for me?” They are yours, for better or worse. But you do have control over how you act toward your parents, and how you react to them. Will you be close to your parents? Will you move away from them? Will you resent them & say “You did a horrible job raising me. I don’t want you in my life anymore”? Will you learn from your parents? Your actions and reactions are your Free Will. You can use your Free Will to have a great relationship with your parents, take them for granted, love them or hate them – a thousand different choices are yours to make. If you’re a parent yourself – you also know that who is born to you is out of your control. You get pregnant, and someone is coming. Who? You won’t know until he/she arrives. You get who you get! BUT – you have a choice as to what kind of parent you are going to be. Laid back or nervous, strict or lenient, warm or cold, present in their lives or absent. The choice is yours.
Your birthchart is also your Fate. You can’t say “I don’t want to be a Scorpio, give me a new chart!”. It’s too late. You were already born. Your chart is your chart for life. However, you have the Free Will to manifest your chart as you choose. You decide how you are going to fulfill the potential of your chart. We don’t begin this life with Free Will. This comes with maturity. How much choice do you have as a baby? As a toddler? As a child? You begin your journey being very dependent on others, most likely your parents. However, as you mature, as you grow and learn, the Universe gives you tools, the strongest one being Free Will. At a certain point in your life, you realize you are becoming independent. You have the power of choice. You can fulfill your potential, or let opportunities pass you by. You can tap into your positive traits or your negative energies. The choice is yours. The Universe is the Producer of your life, but you are the Director and the Star. It’s all up to you. If you accept your Fate, use your Free Will wisely, and study hard, you’ll pass your tests in this thing called Life with flying colors.
