Nearly All Braintree Candidates' Signatures Certified

Oct. 3 is the deadline to object to nomination papers or withdraw nominations in the Braintree election.

The Board of Registrars has gone through the nominating signatures submitted by candidates for local seats in Braintree and released the list of the names of those who are eligible to appear on the ballot Nov. 5.

Of those who submitted signatures, two were deemed not eligible.

Meridith Duffy did not have enough valid signatures to meet the required number for School Committee and Kieren McDonough submitted his signatures after the deadline and without a sufficient amount, Town Clerk Joe Powers said in an email.
