BRAINTREE, MA — Another 3 Braintree residents have died after contracting the new coronavirus, according to town health officials. As of Monday, 764 residents have tested positive for the virus with 80 fatalities.

More than 78,000 people in Massachusetts have tested positive for the new coronavirus as of Monday afternoon, according to Massachusetts Department of Health data. More than 7,000 residents of Norfolk County were among those who contracted the virus.

According to the data, there have been 129 additional deaths, bringing to total number of deaths statewide to 5,108. There were 669 newly reported cases since data was released Monday afternoon, and 813 confirmed cases are in ICU.

In Massachusetts, there have been 394,728 COVID-19 tests performed, with 6,330 new tests reported Monday.
