Braintree Coronavirus Update: Residents Donate To Food Pantry
The Marge Crispin Center in Braintree also began delivering food to residents over 70 and those with underlying health conditions.
BRAINTREE, MA — Town officials said the food and medical supply drive Saturday was a success. The drive organized by the Braintree Community Task Force brought new non perishable goods into the Marge Crispin Center and personal protective equipment for Braintree first responders.
"It is a true testament to the giving spirit of the people in the town of Braintree," Mayor Charles Kokoros said in a statement.
The Marge Crispin Center, the town's food pantry is open from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., Tuesday through Thursday for those in need. On March 24, the Department of Public Health issued a stay-at-home advisory for people over 70 and those with underlying health conditions.

K0koros said the Marge Crispin Center will provide delivery service for those affected by the advisory beginning Tuesday.Delivery service at this time will be limited to non-perishable items.

"We understand during this unprecedented time this maybe the first time you need assistance, but we want you to know that we are here to help," Kokoros said. "Please let us be there for you during this most difficult time. Our communities’ spirit is strong, and we will make it through this together."
