Braintree Crash Update: Dorchester Teen Dead, 2 Injured
At about 4 a.m., Braintree fire responded to a report of a vehicle that struck a utility pole.
BRAINTREE, MA — A teenager has died following a car crash in Braintree.
At about 4 a.m. Sunday, Braintree fire responded to a report of a vehicle that struck a utility pole near the Braintree Electric Light Department's Plain Street property. Upon arrival, police located one vehicle with substantial damage and three individuals trapped inside the car, according to the Norfolk County District Attorney's office.
The driver and back seat passenger, both men, suffered serious injuries and are being treated at area hospitals. The front seat passenger, identified as 16-year-old Amanda Nguyen of Dorchester, was pronounced dead at the scene.

No criminal charges have been filed but the crash remains under investigation.
