Braintree Fire Responds to 2-Alarm Blaze
Fire officials say the blaze was started by discarded cigarettes.

Fire crews in Braintree responded to a two-alarm house fire at 288 Lisle St. Wednesday morning.
NECN reports that the fire started outside and spread to the house.
Fire officials say the fire started after workers at the home discarded a cup of smoldering cigarettes and a rag soaked in paint thinner on a pile of sawdust left by a crew refinishing floors. It was initially suspected that the fire was started by an electricity meter on the side of the home.
