Braintree Firefighter Accused Of Threatening Woman Gets Probation
The case was continued without finding, which means prosecutors had enough evidence to find him guilty without him pleading guilty.
BRAINTREE, MA — A Braintree firefighter will serve one year's probation, following accusations he threatened to kill a Whitman woman. The case was continued without finding for one year, which means Kevin MacAleese, 54, admitted prosecutors had enough evidence to find him guilty without him pleading guilty, the Patriot Ledger reported.
MacAleese's probation comes with two conditions. He must stay away from the woman who accused him of the threats, and follow through on treatment at alcohol and drug-use treatment facility. The case will be dismissed on Feb. 7, 2020 if MacAleese follows the terms of his probation
On Dec. 13, a woman called Whitman Police and told them MacAleese called threatening to kill the her, police said. When police arrived, the woman was still on the phone. Police said MacAleese was also threatening to beat up the woman's husband.
