Braintree Fireworks Complaints Are Exploding
"Somehow, months of quarantine have given everyone across the nation a sudden urge to blow stuff up," police said urging residents to stop.

BRAINTREE, MA — Officials in Braintree and other South Shore communities are seeing more complaints and reports of fireworks, which are illegal in Massachusetts.
Braintree police said they received complaints almost every night last week. Some nights the department would receive as many as three to four complaints.
"This isn't a Braintree problem," police said on their Facebook page. "Somehow, months of quarantine have given everyone across the nation a sudden urge to blow stuff up."

Police urged residents to stop saying residents are not only ticking off their neighbors, but are also putting themselves and their homes in danger.
You could blow off your fingers, don't shake your head, we’ve picked up fingers after searching for them and brought them to the hospital," police said. "You could burn down your she shed or house, don't shake your head, we've been to plenty of fires caused by fireworks."

Selling, possessing or purchasing fireworks is illegal in Massachusetts, but they are easily and legally bought in New Hampshire. In Massachusetts, fines range from $10 to $100 for use or possession of fireworks.
