Braintree Food Health Inspections: July and August
Braintree inspectors looked at dozens of establishments over the summer.

During the months of July and August, the Braintree Department of Municipal Licenses and Inspections conducted numerous inspections of establishments in town that serve food.
Marybeth McGrath, director of Department of Municipal Licenses and Inspections, said inspectors are encourages to denote positives at their inspections. The reports below only include "critical" violations.
Inspectors Amy Carey and Sean Collins visit establishments multiple times throughout the year. How often depends on the risk level.
As explained on the town website: "Typically, two times a year, with higher risk establishments, such as nursing homes, school cafeterias, daycare kitchen facilities, being conducted more often. Lower risk establishments, such as a package store are conducted once a year."
The reports are as written by Braintree health inspectors and include the date on which the violations were resolved.

July 23: Properly store knives/gloves. Sanitizer and sanitizer test kit needed.
Reinspected July 24.
Ruby Thai, 250 Granite St.
July 23: Clean and degrease interior of fry-o-laters and piping between equipment. Clean floors.
Reinspected July 24.
Au Bon Pain, 250 Granite St.
July 16: New thermometers. Salad unit out of service, registering 45 degrees. Temporary fix to use hotel pans with ice .
Reinspected July 19.
Johnny Rockets, 250 Granite St.
July 23: Voluntarily disposed of 200 pounds of beef that was stored at 50 degrees.
Reinspected July 26.
Four Square, 16 Commercial St.
Aug. 7: New thermometers, place allergy awareness notice in prominent place.
Granite Grill, 703 Granite St.
Aug. 22: Dishes/utensils should be washed, then dipped in sanitizer. Replace cutting boards as needed.
Olympian Diner, 21 Hancock St.
Aug. 6: 48-degree prep fridge, put product on ice temporarily. Watch dishwater temperature for viability of sanitizer.
Reinspected Aug. 7.
