Braintree Girls Basketball Wins MIAA D1 South Championship
The Wamps are heading to the TD Garden.

BRAINTREE, MA — After a one year absence, the Braintree girls basketball team will return to the TD Garden next week.
The Wamps won their fifth MIAA Division 1 South title in six years Friday night, beating the Mansfield Hornets 72-43 at Taunton High School. Braintree will face the North champion in the state semi-finals.
From start to finish, it was Braintree dominance as the Hornets were held to only 12 points in the first half.

Despite a 17-point third quarter from the Hornets, the gap was too big to close.
