BRAINTREE, MA — Braintree police have notified the public that a "peeping Tom" has been active in two Braintree neighborhoods for at least a few months, but some instances could date back a few years.

The Braintree Police Department is seeking public assistance in identifying a person of interest in several cases. Officials said the cases are centered on two neighborhoods, and most have occurred since November of 2023 with a potential of other cases dating back to 2021.

The neighborhoods in question are Alida Road and surrounding streets, and Angela Road and the surrounding neighborhood. The time of day ranges from early evening to early morning, officials said.

"We have some investigative leads but also need assistance from any resident who may have encountered a suspicious person on their property," police said. "We ask residents to check their camera footage to see if any persons have been captured on their surveillance systems. As always, neighbors should remain vigilant and report further suspicious activity."

Police don't know the motivation of the suspect, but said that, in each case, "the person is surreptitiously viewing or filming young females in their homes."
