Braintree Theater Stabbing Suspect Indicted In Plymouth Stabbing

Jared Ravizza, of Martha's Vineyard, was indicted on charges connected to the stabbing of two McDonald's employees in Plymouth.

BROCKTON, MA — The man charged in a Braintree theater stabbing in May was indicted on separate charges in Plymouth County related to a second series of stabbings at a McDonald's.

Jared Ravizza, 26, of Chilmark, was indicted on assault to murder and assault and battery with a dangerous weapon charges. He is being held without bail, officials said.

This comes after a May 25 stabbing of two McDonald's employees at the Route 3 rest area location in Plymouth. Police arrived to the scene around 6:52 p.m. to find a 21 and 28-year-old victim with a "knife laceration." Both were transported to nearby hospitals.

Video surveillance shows Ravizza reach through the drive-thru window stabbing the male victim with a large knife. Ravizza then leaves the drive-thru in his black Porsche, get out of his car, and return to the restaurant on foot.

He then goes inside, gets behind the counter, and stabs the other victim before fleeing the area in his car, officials said.

After Ravizza fled the rest stop, state troopers tried to pull over his SUV, but it did not stop and instead crashed, according to police. He was driving a 2018 Porsche Macan and was taken into custody around 7:15 p.m. in Sandwich, the district attorney's office said.

Ravizza faces four charges each of attempt to murder and assault and battery with a dangerous weapon in Braintree, stemming from the AMC theater stabbing that happened earlier on the same day.

The theater stabbing happened first, around 6 p.m., when Ravizza entered AMC Braintree 10 in the 100 block of Grandview Avenue, passed the ticket counter, went into one of the theaters without paying and stabbed four girls, unprovoked and without warning, police said. He then fled the theater in a black SUV, according to police.

The girls, ages 9 to 17, suffered injuries that were not life-threatening and were taken to hospitals for treatment, police said.

Police reports, first reported on by Boston 25, detail the experience of the victims in the theater who described Ravizza like a horror movie character.

"He had a smile on his face that looked like it was sculpted out of a horror movie, he was freaky, he had wrinkles on his face, his face was so animated, and he laughed like the Joker," one victim said.

Ravizza is also connected to the murder investigation of West Hartford resident Bruce Feldman, 70, who was found dead in Deep River on the same day as the Massachusetts stabbings. He is charged with one count of murder, two counts of animal cruelty and criminal mischief in Connecticut.
