Free Gas in Braintree on Friday Offered by Credit Union
Liberty Bay Credit Union, based in Braintree, is kicking off a summer campaign with free gas at one station in Braintree on Friday, June 24.

Despite their recent drop, are gas prices still a bit high for your wallet's tastes?
Well, if you're free between 12 p.m. and 1 p.m. tomorrow, Friday, June 24, and can get to at 258 Quincy Ave., you can get in line for a free tank of gas courtesy of Liberty Bay Credit Union.
The Braintree-based credit union is offering a free fill-up to anyone, excluding work trucks, that show up. The line starts forming at 11:30 a.m. and is first come, first serve.

Liberty's offer is the kick-start of a campaign to attract new customers, who will receive a gift certificate worth up to $75 for a tank of free gas if they sign up for an account in Braintree, Boston or Stoneham by Labor Day.
Each week, one new member will also win a free flip-camera courtesy of Liberty Bay, according to a press release. Camera winners will be encouraged to film a short film during vacation, which they can then send in to an online contest with a $1,000 prize.

“With the high cost of fuel, we know how difficult it is for families to plan their getaways this summer,” Liberty Bay President & CEO Kenneth C. Dyer said in a statement. “Whether it’s a trip to the beach, the mountains or a visit with a loved one, this is our little way to help make those memories possible.”
