Furnace Brook Students Appear on Nationally Televised Mass

Marshfield students join Father Aveni in celebrating Mass at CatholicTV

WATERTOWN, MASS. (January 14, 2016)- The daily Catholic Mass was celebrated at the Watertown studios of CatholicTV in the Chapel of Holy Cross.
Father Paul Aveni, the Administrator at Our Lady of the Assumption Parish in Marshfield, Mass. celebrated today’s televised Mass. Fr. Aveni was joined by parishioners of Our Lady’s Parish including, Joan Dolan who served as lector. Fr. Aveni was also joined by 7th grade students of Furnace Brook Middle School in Marshfield Mass., Ms. Destiny Conlon and Ms. Diamond Conlon, both of whom served at the altar. Furnace Brook Middle School is a public middle school that offers focused education from 6th to 8th grade. Father Aveni graduated from St. Anselm College and went on to attend St. John’s Seminary, where he studied for the priesthood; he ordained into the priesthood on May 16, 1998. Father Aveni was previously assigned to Immaculate Conception in Revere, St. John the Evangelist in North Chelmsford, St. Joseph in Holbrook and St. Mary of the Assumption in Revere.
