How Much Does It Cost To Run For Mayor In Braintree?
Preliminary campaign finance reports show mayoral candidates in next month's Braintree election have been busy raising money.
BRAINTREE, MA — The town of Braintree has posted pre-preliminary campaign finance reports for mayoral candidates running in the Nov. 5 municipal election. According to the reports, which cover contributions and expenditures between Jan. 1 and Aug. 30, Electric Light Board chair Thomas Reynolds led all candidates by raising $23,704.50. But the honor for most expensive campaign goes to District 1 Town Councilor Charles Kokoros, who spent $17,655.05 during that period.

Below, we've broken down the contribution totals for all mayoral candidates running in this year's Braintree town election as a tool for voters to use as they make decisions before heading to the polls next month.

Kokoros raised $21,085 in contributions for his campaign. Some of his biggest donations include $1,000 from Dermot Doyne, $1,000 from Jay Nuss and $1,000 from Charlene Jones.

Other Candidates
Prior to being eliminated in the preliminary election, District 3 Town Councilor Thomas Bowes received $10,761.69 in contributions and spent $2,581.06 between Jan. 1 and Aug. 30. School Committee Chair Lisa Fiske Heger received $4,915 in contributions and spent $3,549.06.
