Joshua Kaye Foundation To Host Family Fun Festival

The third annual Joshua Kaye Foundation Family Fun Festival and Touch-a-Truck will take place June 3.

From the Joshua Kaye Foundation: The third annual Joshua Kaye Foundation Family Fun Festival and Touch-a-Truck will take place June 3, 2018, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at 10 Plain St. in Braintree (near the Bayshore Athletic Club and the Registry of Motor Vehicles). Admission is $3 per person or $15 per immediate family.

The Festival will offer food, music, and fun for the whole family! As in past years, the festival will feature food, performances, carnival games, and activities. The Touch-a-Truck will give kids a chance to get in the driver’s seat of more than a dozen construction and rescue vehicles, and “kids” of all ages will love the video game truck. Special events include Big Joe the Storyteller at 11:15 am, Zumbini class with Breathe & Play Every Day co-owner Mila Vaskov at 1:20 pm, and other live performances all day. A hula-hoop contest and basketball shootout are also on the agenda. In honor of Joshua’s love of marine life, there will be a 1000 rubber dolphin drop, a fun spectacle with cash prizes including a $1000 grand prize! There will also be a raffle for prizes including family day passes to Great Wolf Lodge, Red Sox tickets, American Girl Dolls, and gift certificates to many local restaurants and businesses. While at the Festival, be sure to check out the Red Sox World Series Trophy and meet Wally, the beloved Red Sox mascot.

All funds raised by the Festival will go to support the mission of the Joshua Kaye Foundation and its annual project to encourage Acts of Kindness between July 7 and August 3. This year, in celebration of what would have been Josh’s 13th birthday, the Foundation will also be sponsoring thirteen Community Service Projects on thirteen different days. The Joshua Kaye Foundation welcomes participation from the public: to learn more about the foundation, volunteer at the Festival, suggest or join service projects, or join in the #ThisIsForJosh Acts of Kindness, please contact the Foundation or visit our Facebook page.
