Local Babies Gear Up for 3rd Annual Diaper Derby at the South Shore Plaza

Crawlers and Toddlers start your ‘engines’!

prepares to host the 3^rd annual Simon Mall Diaper Derby! The event is being regionally sponsored by WIC (Women, Infants and Children) Nutrition Program, and Bay State Parent magazine. Participants in this year’s Derby must be new crawlers and walkers up to 18 months to race against each other in a fun competition that will also include other activities such as:

• Tiny Tots Fashion Show featuring South Shore Plaza retailers, including: Clarks, The Children’s Place, 77kids, BabyGap and Gapkids
• Children Activities including: small rubber ducks for children to take from a pool to win a prize!
• Prize Giveaways from South Shore Plaza retailers. There will be two separate opportunities. Customers must complete an Enter to Win form for certain prizes
• Additional Prize Giveaways will be a part of the Simon Text to Win campaign through Simon’s Mobile Shopper Club

There will be 36 Crawlers and 36 Walkers at each mall. There are six "racers" per heat and then the winner from each of the six heats competes for the 1^st prize, 2^nd prize and 3^rd prize. There will be an award ceremony for 1^st, 2^nd and 3^rd place winners in both the Crawler and Walker category. All racers will receive goody bags.

By pre-registering, parents will be entered to win a $25 American Express® Simon Giftcard® at Guest Services, or register the day of Diaper Derby on a first come, first served basis as there are limited slots. Pre-registration is encouraged.
