Local Cub Scouts Learn Engineering at Braintree Builder's Job Site

MKE Development Corporation is on Grove Street in Braintree

The Cub Scouts Pack 196 and Pack 22 earned their Engineering Badge in November.

The cub scouts met with Michael Egasti (Engineer, Builder & Owner of MKE Development Corporation) at our job site at 11 Butler Rd. in Braintree and were given a set of floor plans and plot plans, reviewed details of how a home is constructed, went over the different types of wood used in building a home and the builder talked to them about the different Engineers that are involved when building a home and told them what each engineers job is.

They were also taught about Forestry, Geology, Electricity, Energy Efficiency & Recycling throughout the construction process. Michael enjoyed having these bright kids on the job site. They had great questions and were enthusiastic about learning.

This is the second time we've had the Cub Scouts earn their badges on our job site (the first time was back in March of 2012 at the job site located at 30 Watkins St. in Quincy) and we look forward to having future Cub scouts earn their badges on our job sites.
