Man Indicted On Assault Of Pregnant Woman At Super Bowl Party
After the argument, the suspect attacked several people including grabbing a woman by the throat, who he knew was pregnant, police said.
BRAINTREE, MA — A Boston man accused of attacking a pregnant woman and several others at a Super Bowl party was indicted by a Norfolk County grand jury.
Sasquan Gorman, 27, was charged with assault and battery on a pregnant woman, assault and battery with a dangerous weapon, along with three additional assault and battery charges. The indictment takes the case out of Quincy District Court and moves it to Norfolk Superior Court, where if convicted, defendants can face longer sentences.
Police told the Patriot Ledger they arrived at an apartment on McCusker Drive a little after 11 p.m., on Feb. 3. Gorman was at a Super Bowl party and was drinking. According to police, Gorman got into an argument about race, but the argument quickly turned violent.

A court date in Norfolk County Superior Court for Gorman will be scheduled at a later date.
