Marshfield Man Indicted in Braintree Hotel Robbery Case

The man faces robbery and assault charges.

A Marshfield man has been indicted on robbery charges related to a violent robbery at a hotel in Braintree.

Anthony Miele, 41, was handed the indictment on Thursday and charged with armed and masked robbery, home invasion, assault and battery on a person over 60, intimidating a witness and other violent crimes according to WCVB.

According to Braintree Police, Miele and two other men attacked a family staying at the Candlewood Suites, demanding that they hand over what was in their safe.

According to police reports, a women was staying at the hotel on March 17 with her fiance and son when she heard someone knock on her room’s door and ask for Mikey. The man left when the woman said that he had the wrong room but returned a few minutes later.

When the woman opened the door, Miele and two other men allegedly burst through the door, knocked the woman to the ground, and grabbed the fiance by the throat and demanded the location of their safe.

When the son attempted to help his mother, one of the men hit him with a hammer before the fiance gave the men $500 from his wallet.

All three were told that they would be killed if they told the police what happened.

A second man, Brian Bullock, has also been arraigned after investigators learned that he had borrowed a car hotel workers saw leave the parking lot on the night of the attack. In addition, police later learned that Miele’s wife had let someone in the family borrow money and demanded the cash back once he learned of the load.
