More Women Report Man Following them Around Watson Park, Police Increasing Patrols
Police continue to investigate multiple reports of a man who is following and assaulting women near Watson Park.

Braintree, MA — More police patrols in marked and unmarked vehicles will be assigned to the East Braintree neighborhood near Watson Park, police said.
The extra officers come on the heels of reports from two women that a suspicious man following them near the park. Since the incidents were made public this week, more have been reported. On June 23 at around 9:30 p.m., a 21-year-old woman from Braintree told police that while on Quincy Avenue, she was slapped from behind by a person matching the description of the suspect. On May 29 at 8:30 p.m., a 17-year-old Braintree resident on Quincy Avenue between Edge Hill and Beechwood Roads was grabbed by a man from behind. Finally, on June 7 at about 8:30 p.m. a woman ran down a side street from a man who was following her.
In the May 29 incident, the description of the suspect loosely fit the same given by the other women.
The first two incidents were announced on June 27. In the first one, which took place on June 23 at 6:30 p.m., the victim told police that a man followed her from the park to her home. Police say the man walked past her house a few times and walked up her driveway. He left when he heard a dog barking.
The suspect was described as a clean-shaven white man with neatly cut hair, 5'10" to 6 feet. He wore a white shirt, black basketball shorts, and white sneakers. He was carrying what appeared to be a white iPhone and a basketball.

Two days later, another woman reported a similar incident just before 11 p.m. The second victim told police that she was talking on Arborway Drive near Argyle Road when the man approached her from behind, grabbed her, and ran in the opposite direction. He was last seen on Arthur Street and police were unable to find a suspect during a search.
The woman described the suspect as a white man between the ages of 18 and 22. He wore a white shirt and black shorts.
Currently, there are no suspects but officers are following leads and have engaged in field interviews with a few young men walking in the area, police said.
