New Program Gives Braintree Schools Quick Access to Police
The Braintree Public Schools and three private schools will receive faster response times from police with COPsync911.

A new program will allow schools in Braintree to notify police of an emergency from a computer or a mobile device.
Called COPsync911, school facility can request police with a click of a computer icon or mobile app according to the Boston Globe. Once triggered, the alert is sent out in a matter of seconds to the officer closest to the school and dispatch.
The program will run $4,000 per school and about half that after the first year. In addition to the 10 Braintree public schools, the program will be implemented in the Thayer Academy, Granite Academy, and St. Francis of Assisi School.
