Thirty Weekend Car Break-Ins Reported In Braintree

BRAINTREE, MA — If you need another reminder about the importance of locking your car doors, here 30 reasons why.

As of Monday morning, that is the number of vehicle break-ins from the weekend that have been reported to the Braintree Police Department. Police say most of the break-ins took place in East Braintree. Items taken included loose change, sunglasses and cologne, however most were just rummaged through.

Early Monday morning, an officer was able to stop a suspect on Cedarcliff Road. However, the suspect was able to flee after a pursuit through backyards.

Following the break-ins, the police department is reminding residents to lock their car doors and if they see something, call police at 781-843-1212.
