Police Log: Arrest for Possession of Heroin

Friday, Dec. 26
At 11:43 a.m., police reported identity theft on Grossman Drive.
At 11:47 a.m., police reported larceny on Granite Street.

At 12:14 p.m., police reported vandalism on West Street.
At 9:47 p.m., police arrested Paul Prater, 25, 3 East Cottage St. of Dorchester, and charged him with possession of heroin with intent to distribute. Police reported a man inside Dave and Busters was allegedly threatened with a firearm by a man inside a white SUV. The man told officers he “slashed” a tire on the SUV so the men would not follow him. Police located the white SUV in a Macy’s parking lot on Granite Street with two men standing next to it. Officers discovered what they believed to be heroin inside the vehicle. Prater, the owner of the vehicle, was detained. Officers did not recover a firearm from the men or from the vehicle.

Saturday, Dec. 27
At 1:12 a.m., police arrested Anthony J. Callery, 25, 14 Robinson Ave., and charged him with failure to stop for police, operating after revocation and operating to endanger on Storrs Avenue.
At 6:55 a.m., police reported an attempted breaking and entering into a motor vehicle on West Street.
At 1:20 p.m., police reported malicious damage to a motor vehicle on Granite Street.
Sunday, Dec. 28
At 12:36 p.m., police arrested Jennifer A. Wynands, 30, 8 Nahant Ave. of Dorchester, on an arrest warrant on Granite Street.
At 12:47 p.m., police reported vandalism on Pond Street.
At 7:49 p.m., police reported a liquor law violation on Franklin Street.
