Racing Vehicles May Have Led To Fatal Braintree Crash: State Police
Massachusetts State Police are seeking information about two vehicles they say were traveling at high rates of speed just before the crash.

BRAINTREE, MA — Massachusetts State Police officials believe that two cars racing each other on Route 93 in Braintree may have contributed to a fatal crash on Sunday night.
Officials are seeking information from the public related to the fatal crash that occurred Sunday night just before 9 p.m. on Route 93 North in Braintree.
Specifically, troopers are seeking anyone who may have seen, or have information about, two vehicles operating at a high rate of speed, possibly racing each other, in the area of the crash, which was prior to Exit 6.

Officials say those vehicles, which did not remain at the scene, could have been a factor in the crash.
The crash resulted in the death of Michael Wojdag, 46, of Hanson. Wojdag was operating a black 2018 Chevrolet Tahoe SUV that went off the road to its right after it was struck by a black 2019 Honda Civic sedan, which also went off the road, state police said.

Two other occupants of the Tahoe, a 45-year-old woman and a teenage boy, were transported to South Shore Hospital with minor injuries. The Civic’s five occupants, who were not injured, remained on scene and were interviewed by troopers.
Evidence collected thus far suggests the possible involvement of two other vehicles which were traveling at high rates of speed. One of those vehicles may have struck the Civic, forcing it into the Tahoe, police said.
The only description at this time is that one of the other vehicle was a sedan, police said.
Anyone who has information about other vehicles that may have been involved in this crash or any vehicles that were traveling at high speeds is asked to contact the State Police-Milton Barracks at (617) 698-5840 or the State Police Troop H Detective Unit at (617) 740-7544.
