The Rotary Club of Braintree is pleased to announce we will be offering one (1) scholarship to a graduating senior that does not attend a school located in Braintree, MA and does not attend a school covered by Braintree’s district. The following schools are not part of this award because they have a separate award.

The criteria follows:
1) The student must be a resident of Braintree, MA
2) The student must be accepted to a four (4) year college
3) The student must demonstrate the importance of “Service Above Self” by actively participating in service projects and service clubs during their high school career. The service activity can take place at school or in their community (i.e. scouts, religious youth groups, etc).
4) The student must demonstrate academic excellence and achieve a minimum GPA of 3.0, or the equivalent as determined by their academic institution.
The award is for $1,500 and financial need is not a criteria. One (1) scholarship will be awarded to a high school senior, class of 2015. The student must apply directly to the Braintree Rotary Club. To request an application, please contact braintreerotary@comcast.net and put SCHOLARSHIP APPLICATION REQUEST in the subject line. The application includes a request for an essay and high school resume (or brag sheet). Submission deadline is Saturday, April 25, 2015.
