UPDATE: MBTA Shuts Down Braintree Red Line for the Day
Bus service will replace Red Line service between Braintree and JFK/UMass for the remainder of the day.

Red Line service between Braintree and JFK/UMass will not restart today.
The MBTA announced on their website that the Braintree portion of the line, which closed at 10 a.m., will not resume service today so that jet engine powered snow blowers can be used to clear snow from the rights of way before the evening commute. Limited bus service will be provided but the weather is expected to hamper the frequency of the buses.
Originally, subway service was expected to resume at 3 p.m.
