South Shore Plaza Shooting Victim Dies

Braintree and county authorities say they are still trying to identify the South Shore plaza shooter.

BRAINTREE, MA — The man who was shot at the South Shore Plaza in Braintree died, a spokesperson from the Norfolk County District Attorney's Office said Monday.

Dijoun C. Beasley, 26, of Dorchester, was shot while shopping inside a store on the main floor of the South Shore Plaza around 3 p.m. Saturday.

Authorities have not determined the identity of the shooter, said District Attorney Michael Morrissey and Police Chief Mark Dubois in a joint statement.

"The Braintree Police and Massachusetts State Police homicide detectives attached to the Norfolk District Attorney’s Office continue to work together in this investigation," Morrissey said. "It is very much active and ongoing."
