Summer Job Applications Available at Braintree Recreation Department

The Braintree Recreation and Community Events Department is currently accepting summer employment applications at its 85 Quincy Avenue offices through the end of April. Jobs such as organized play instructors, lifeguards, special needs counselors, sailing instructors will need new hires to fill in the ranks even though veteran employees with the department will be given first
chance to return to their positions based on past summer work performances.
Candidates seeking employment must be Braintree residents. Interviews will be conducted in early May at the department’s offices for those candidates who are currently in college or who are graduating from high school this year. Decisions on whom to employ for this summers extensive summer activity programs will be made through the Mayor’s Office and announcements will be made before the end of May. These positions are not fulltime year round, but instead are for
summer seasonal employment only. Applications are now available for age eligible candidates at the office. Those candidates with current American Red Cross lifeguard certification or sailing certification will be needed for sure this coming summertime.
