Suspect In Dorchester Murder Arrested In Holbrook

HOLBROOK, MA — A man wanted for a murder in Dorchester was taken into custody in Holbrook Wednesday.

Ralph Brown, 43, was arrested on Longmeadow Drive in Holbrook after he was found hiding in a closet. He was taken into custody following a brief struggle with officers, according to the Boston Police Department. A second suspect in the murder, Kyle Williams-Gathers, was arrested Feb. 14 after a five-hour standoff in Walpole.

Brown and Williams-Gathers are accused of killing 21-year-old Shaquille Browder of Roxbury on Jan. 11 near the intersection of Columbia Road and Washington Street in Dorchester. A second victim in his early 20’s who had fled the scene was found suffering from an apparent gunshot wound. He was transported to an area hospital for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries.
