Two in Braintree Arrested on Gun Charges

Police responded to a report of a suspicious vehicle early Friday.

This story has been has been updated to reflect that one of the suspects gave a false name to police.

Police arrested two people after a report of suspicious activity on Harness Lane.

Kathleen M. Chambers, 26, of Burlington and Brian M. Murphy Jr., 27, of Braintree were charged with illegal possession of a firearm, illegal possession of ammunition and lewd and lascivious behavior according to Police Chief Russell Jenkins.

Early Friday morning, two officers checked a report on a suspicious vehicle. When they arrived at the car, they discovered the two undressed inside the vehicle. During a search of the car a loaded .22 caliber handgun, several credit cards in a woman’s name, and a license in the name of another woman were found.
